Executive chef and owner Michael C Rask, a 1991 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, opened the Main Street Cafe in Highland NY October 2009.  The philosophy of Michael's new restaurant comes form his passion for cooking, love of fresh ingredients, and the enjoyment of cooking for family and friends.  

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Michael's career has provided him the opportunity to work throughout  the United States and for nearly a decade in Europe.  After gaining valuable cooking experience, he decided to return to his family in the Hudson Valley and pursue his culinary ambitions.
